                                                Scholastic Achievement Program

The Twisted Bean announces its Scholastic Achievement Program. Starting in the second school reporting period of the 2007-2008 school year, The Twisted Bean will honor our best and brightest students from around the Upstate. Currently, there are three facets to the program:

A. Our Partner Elementary Schools:
At Concrete and Powdersville Elementary Schools all honor roll students will receive a card for a free child’s size ice cream at The Twisted Bean.

B. All Schools in Pickens, Anderson or Greenville County:
Any student with a straight “A” average for the term (All “A”s for elementary school and middle school students; a 4.0 or better GPA for all high school students) will receive a free child’s size ice cream with the purchase of any adult size ice cream or coffee.

C. Employee Recognition Program at both Quiznos Powdersville and The Twisted Bean:
Each employee that maintains a 4.0 GPA for a term will receive a $50 gift card to a retailer in our area.

The next phase of our program is the establishment of a book scholarship for our employees as they move from high school to college or university. The graduating high school senior with the highest GPA who has worked for The Twisted Bean or Quiznos Powdersville for nine months will be awarded a $500 book scholarship for each year they maintain a 3.0 GPA at the school of their choice. This will be announced in the Spring of 2008 and will be in effect for employees graduating in May 2008 that started with us when we opened in the Autumn of 2007.
The owners and staff of The Twisted Bean understand and appreciate the key role scholastic achievement plays in the life of an individual. We strive to support our local schools, teachers and parents in reinforcing this message to the students across the upstate.
