Whether it was a balmy night in Barcelona on the Mediterranean coast, a steamy afternoon in a Roman piazza, a nighttime journey up the Eiffel Tower or a cool morning on a balcony in Rio on the Brazilian coast these cities and countries hold a special place in our hearts and minds.
The fierce pride each country displays about its heritage and cuisine is remarkable. There are still regions determined that complete sovereignty is a noble and worthy goal. The strength of character and individuality displayed in each region draw us back to the beautiful people and places of the Mediterranean and South America.
